Anyone had any issues with Chase Auto Finance Lease and did a pay off?

When I called for my payoff almost monthly in the past year, they would say the tax is included. Each and every time I called, they said the CA State tax was included.

Once I paid the car off, they suddenly changed their mind. They're saying the tax was never included.

Now I can't get the DMV to release them from title until I pay the tax (twice).

Anyone else with these problems? Or is it just my bad luck which never seems to end in life.
