    Dear Members, My Apologies...

    Dear Members,

Clearly my posts have upset certain members which has never been my intention - ever. Being accountable for my actions yet knowing my conscience is clear I write this open letter to the Forum and to any Forum member I have irked or upset and trust they'll accept my sincere apologies. In whatever vein or light I am construed it is my hope that one day, the R8talk Forum will see me as an important contributor and not some "fly-by-night", as is clearly currently the case.

Indeed i'll readily admit my post relating to R8 images was unacceptable and out of line. I should've taken pre-emptive steps as a professional in collating my facts which I didn't, and again I apologise however being branded an advertiser for example, when my only intention is to share this with foreign (to US) R8 owners, is very unfair.

Below today's email from this UK company. I have absolutely no affiliation, connection or monetary gain from them whatsoever.

    Hi Doug,
Your discs have been engraved and shipped this afternoon.
    Thanks again for your order.
    Regards,
    Ben

For as long as I live I will always be in debt to America and its people without whom I would have never achieved the international acclaim bestowed on me as a professional thoroughbred photographer. To have my professional integrity as a professional photographer brought into question by members calling for my banning, requires me to therefore set the record straight.

My clients have included HM Queen Elizabeth 11, Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoumn al Maktoumn, The Aga Khan and Mr. & Mrs. Robert Clay. The latter are USA (Midway, KY) based and owners of Three Chimneys Farm, lifelong home of Seattle Slew (US Triple Crown Winner). A Google search of "Three Chimneys Farm" will show the stallion barn in the background and a bronze of Seattle Slew on the LHS.

Please contact, the owner Mr. Robert Clay on (859) 873 7053 for a character and integrity reference on me, be it both as an individual and professional photographer.

Rather than continue unabated and upset others further, please know I will not post anything of similar subject again.

    Sincerely,
    Doug Saunders

    Re: Dear Members, My Apologies...

My only question is what the h*ll happened to the other 9 Queen Elizabeths?! Just last month #2 visited in Canada, and now we are up to 11? You would have thought that the powers in charge would have sent us a more recent model. This is like trying to pawn an Audi 1000 off as an R8. Now I am really upset

I thought DD was going to move to So. Cal. I guess he has a beach house at both, including S.Africa.
