I am not sure my Sprint booster has caused any problems. And if it is suspect it just unplugs. Unplugging the stock connection is a real BIATCH. The dummies at the dealer are supposed to remove it before anything else. Then the car can be scanned properly. I am going to know for sure if the little unit causes any problems. It is out now and I will be re-installing it as soon as the dealer says it is O.K. to do so - In approx. 1,000 miles. 900 more to go. It is a valuable addition in my opinion. The car feels SOOOO peppy with it.

Have had mine in since last fall and no problems at all. When I removed it to bring in for service car felt like a slug. Then it got even better when I had APR flash down to car.

Ecu upgrade is one thing I have always come close to but pulled away from at the last minute and not quite sure why??

I wish on the R8 we could use the Cobb Access Port which is a handheld ECU map programming device that I plug into the OBD-2 port under the dash on the gtr.

Mine has 10 maps on it (incl Valet) and I can program horsepower range increases up to 100 hp depending on fuel mix and exhaust mods etc

I can change a map in 25 seconds with the stock standard ecu stored as well.

Magic bit of kit as it measures performance stats such as 0-60,1/4 mile etc along with live data logging and fault finding.

A absolute bargain at $995US and I just wish they had a Audi map beginning with R

You should give the APR a try, The power gains I received are a a great deal for an under $1k mod. Saw the guy who owns the shop where I dyno the other day and he told me he has dyno'ed 2 R8's recently and highest they got was 308 AWHP, I got 350AWHP. There Mustang dyno reads very low but is useful for comparison. Last dyno day I did when I got that 350 a RS4 went right after me and put down 297. Was also a RS4 with PES superchager there and he put down 380. So I know I have proven gains, Shop figures I am about 455-460HP at crank now. The APR works great with my mods and you have the same ones. If you do get make sure they do test pipe version.

Not really sure but was told that if you have an after market exhaust you do that version.

    Thumbs up Re: Sprintbooster Problems??

Those numbers are great. I hope to hear a little more, then maybe this would be next on my list of mods. I will use the dyno money for track time instead. My seat of the pants dyno tells me the 24R4 flash was worth it. (FREE).
