I'm thinking of taking delivery of my R8 about March 08, this will give me time to have a look at colour combos and by then there could be extra options like ceramic brakes, also by then the LED lights will be available and you never know even a date for the much talked about V10
Always nice to have some free food and drink
Not a bad idea to wait till 2008 for your car ... if you are prepared to wait that is ... like you say, it will give you time to see some in teh flesh and get a car with all the options you want ... some of which might not be available on the early built cars
    Gone but not forgotten ...
VW Golf V6 4motion (does just what it says on the tin)
Vauxhall Lotus Carlton (a beast of a motorway cruiser)
Honda NSX, manual JDM (a beauty to drive anywhere)
Audi RS4, B7 saloon (awesome on any road - or track)

    Re: British Premiere Attendees

Found the website for the "chef" who is doing the food for tonight...

apart from normally charging £65 for a starter (!) he seems to cook a lot of pigeon, frogs legs and snails. Pig's head and trotter also seems a speciality.

I don't know about you, but if I'm paying through the nose for top nosh, I'd like the chef to cook something he didn't find in his garden. Or if he's going to serve pork, I'd like the NICE cuts, not the bits you'd make sausages out of...

Hi TTej, yeah that was the car that you can see in the background of the photo of Stephan Reil. I got backstage basically through a miscommunication - my french wasn't up to all that, and I handed over my dealer's business card, trying to say "call and check that I've got a deposit down", and they thought I worked for Audi UK, so invited me back for some free champagne, and showed me around the car... I wasn't complaining!
