    Question Gas pedal sensitivity

Is the sensitivity of the gas pedal adjustable in any way. With the R-Tronic, at least, I'd prefer a little less sensitivity. It behaves a bit like an on-off switch at the very lightest pressure so it can be a bit challenging to drive smoothly, particularly on a downhill stretch.

    Thanks, Doug

The only thing that I know of that adjusts the pedal sensitivity is the Sprint Booster - but it adjusts it in the opposite direction you want to go.

I wonder if there are any ways to adjust it with a VAG-COM setup? Finding that coding could be very hard and risky to do, though.

Is your R8 fairly new? I noticed the R-Tronic got better over time for me (or maybe I just got better at handling it). I did get bucked around like a dumbass at the light the other day tho

Fair comment ... it's fairly new to me and I am developing improved feel over time, but it sure is a very fine difference in throttle position between accel and decel compared to any other car I've driven.

If it is behaving like an on/off switch, I'd suggest it is malfunctioning - just tried mine in similar situations and it is as throttle position dependent as you could wish for i.e. caress and it acc's slightly med push and it goes, big push and it kicks down.

Or have I got the problem wrong?
    Best Regards, Ian

Thanks ... I'll get it checked out next time it's in for service in case it's not just me getting used to it :-)

Mine appeared less sensitive after the last chip flash.
