R8 Spyder tour through Germany, Italy, and Austria

I just returned from a trip put on by the Audi Driving experience where we toured Germany, Italy, and Austria in a Suzuka Grey R8 Spyder with cermaic brakes (Man do those things bite!!!). There were four cars total. It was an incredible experience with 4 days of driving and top notch unique hotels. Audi was incredible!!! You basically just drove the car and they took care of everything else, and they really let you drive the car with total independence!!! Again I can't give Audi enough kudos. I would recommend any of their trips for those that are interested...
I am going to post installments in order to not bombard you with pics. Here is day one...

    Here was our beauty

    Here was the lineup

    Brenner pass in Austria

    Mountain pass

    GPS view

    Nice little twisties

Just goes to show...Audi Ceramics are generally more user freindly than Porsche Ceramics. But I would tend to think that FERRARRI ceramics might be better yet. (Street freindly)

So jealous..came so close this year myself.

Would have been the best 2500 euros I could spend.

Traveling to Paris and Europe in November for a few weeks but the Audi summer program is concluded unfortunately.

    Definitely next year!!

Re: R8 Spyder tour through Germany, Italy, and Austria

    Day 2....

    Morning meet up

Driving via Eppaner Weinstraube to Verona

Arrival in Verona parking all taken care of

View from the restaurant in Verona

Arrival at the hotel Villa Amista. It was pretty funny. They were having a press event for the release of a new Volvo and 4 Suzuka Grey Spyders showed up and kind of stole their thunder...

Last, the girls with Audi were so nice to let us take the car for the rest of the day and visit our favorite winery

Checkout R8 pilots website and see their list of events. It was 1400 Euro per person that included gas, meals, and hotel. Then a few extra 100 Euro for Spyder rental.
