Q: When's the R8 due for a facelift or revision?

I'm looking to get a V8 and was wondering how long my car would last before becoming the 'old model' with a new facelift coming out....?

I highly doubt there will be a face life.

The R8 has several different styles already based on V8, V10, Spyder, GT, and probably even more changes if they do the GT2/GT3.

I highly doubt you'll see changes to the V8 unless they just change it to the V10 style.

The next gen R8 should be 2014.

So for the 2012 restyling (or LCI in BMW terms), does that mean we could buy the body parts and upgrade to the LCI look?

The 4.2 is getting 10hp bump for 2011. I doubt a face lift the next year.

A little hard to do...IMPROVE on the R8s' looks, no ? What is the word ? "ICONIC" styling ?? But one thing is sure, The R8 styling is sure to be copied. Smartest car buy for me still...even with a 50K depreciation so far. At least the cars' quality hasn't depreciated. (in my opinion).
