I was out on some errands yesterday, always taking advantage of a chance to drive the R8. As I was leaving the store (replacing a broken mower axle bolt), a guy next to me asked, "Is that some kind of experimental car?"

Best question I've ever been asked. Made my day.

You're near Milford, right? I thought you said out in the west side at one time...

You were seen locally this past week - had someone make comment to me that they thought I'd gotten a black one. Seems everyone in my little neck of the woods is aware that I have the R8, as I hear things from people all the time. - really seems to come from drive through people - guess they have a good view of the roads.

Kfab ... I'm up in the West Chester area. On occasion, I'll take a long drive around 275 to your neck of the woods, then drive down the riverfront and back home. It's a great way to let the worries of the world fade away.

We should get together sometime. I work at home so I have flexibility, assuming I'm not traveling. Drop me a PM when you've got some time.

I've also suggested to the guys at the Audi Connection that they should invite all R8 owners over one Saturday and have an R8 showing. Great PR for them and for the R8.

I keep getting invited to Cars & Coffee* down on River Road. Just haven't been able to make it yet. We should team up and head down some Saturday morning.

I like the idea of getting together at The AC. Great group of people. We need to hit Mike Kline up on this and see what he can get arranged.
