Happened yesterday! The driver is fine, when he got out of the car, it started to burn....

A driver has got on the A9 with Ingolstadt in the skidding and banged with his brand new Audi R8 several times into the guardrails on the left and to the right of the highway. Then the car rose in flames.

The 63-year-old driver was on Tuesday on the way to Audi in Ingolstadt. According to the police he had apparently gone at very much high speed in the direction of Munich. The sports-car to the value of 200,000 euros got in the skidding and banged afterwards several times into the guardrails on the left and to the right of the highway, before he remained lying totally damaged on the right lane.

The driver could get out absolutely uninjured, however, barely he had left the car, the wreck caught fire. Because of the fire-fighting work and the recovery it came for considerable impediments and about five kilometers of traffic jam.

Appears to be a Audi employee heading back to the factory.

There is only one Audi employee that I know of with a car like this, Michael D1ck, head of Audi development as you can see on the link below, guess he will have to do without now, or wait for the GTZ/R!

BTW - this GT was either white or Suzuka. The R8 GT of Michael D1ck is Gulf colour sheme

And I presume that there still will be 333 for customers.

Porsche does number the company owned cars of a limited run e.g 000/100.
Have seen pics of an R8 GT with an 000/333 plaquete already

I don't Know of Michael,but whats his age?
