Cat does not start - Gear mulfunction

For the second time ,

I get the message , gear mulfunction but you can drive.. bla bla..

Engage reverse the car goes forward , and the gears are only up to 3

switch of the car try to start it again and it doesnt start at all

Gear is stuck on M1 , and cannot be moved up to the recovery , audi road assistance came and relased the gear and took the car.

wouldn't want it to happen to me, but there are a lot of moving parts in a car and some cars will inevitably have parts that go faulty. hopefully they'll sort it out quickly for you.

I had this happen at the track. I continued to drive the first day. It happened again the second day. I called Audi R8 mechanic and asked what I should do. He said there is two electronic systems that communicate with each other governing the computer driven R-tronic system. If the first system senses a problem and the second system does not it tells you it is okay to continue. If they both sense the problems they tell you to stop driving and get assistance.

I had a bad sensor in the first communication sensor. They replaced it and I have not had any other problems.
