Just joined the family tonight. I bought an 09 R8 with 2400 miles on it. It is in perfect condition, the previous owner barely drove it and traded it for a new v10. I was going back and forth between the panamera turbo and x6m and the R8. The R8 won out tonight!!! Boy, I drove it home and it is fantastic, I made the best choice with the help of my 11 yr old son. I was going to get the v10 that was sitting in the showroom but my son talked me into getting this one and save the 48,000 dollars. WOW, it 's sweet, what a car. I just can't get over it. I will post some pictures soon. I just wanted to say Hi and tell someone about it.. Thanks

Congrats - the excitement of driving the R8 does not diminish over time. You may even come to enjoy it even more. I have three teenage sons and they were unanimous in their support of my decision on the R8.
