Great production and camera work! I'd be very interested to see all of the different mounts used to come up with the many perspectives used. Did you mic the audio separately and mix it in?

What will the replacement vehicle(s) be?!

    Cheers Con...glad you liked it.

A good spend at $299 and one of those things in 30 years I can show the grandchildren and explain that those were the days when we poured a liquid in a car to make the engine run.

Swapping to the new 2012 GT-R which arrives late February.

A great vid, nicely done. Interesting about the GTR. I came very close to buying one last month, but the buzz about the 2012 model kept me back.

The camera used was a Contour HD(link attached) on a Contour HD suction mount.

I had never seen one and was so impressed when the guys put together the video for me I went and bought one last week.

Can be attached inside or outside on the car and stayed rock solid at over 220kmh.

Super small and light, records in 1080p/1920.Battery life 2-3hrs and takes up to a 16 GB SD micro.

All sound is from the built in mic.Camera is charged via usb on desktop or laptop. The perfect track camera and you can even attach it to the side of your helmet with stickers provided.

The below link is some footage I took myself last Sunday at another track.

Wise decision you held back as the 2012 makes quite marked improvements on a already incredible car.

    Stiffer chassis,better cooling,bigger brakes,revised suspension,lighter wheels,revised upgraded interior and 50 more hp.

Re: A farewell video to my r8

That video is just fantastic! Very nice indeed.

How many hours of footage and how many vantage points did you use? It would appear to be an impressive number of times out on the track to get as many as you did.

It's good to see someone else with the steering wheel right there in their lap - I take it that you're not the tallest bloke around, eh? (neither am I - 5'7", 170cm). I discovered that my most comfortable tracking position was with the seat all the way forward - and I wish I could get the steering wheel back another two inches or so. It allows for such better steering wheel control and less strain on your shoulders.

It's odd seeing the right hand drive interior. That still gets me. The few times I've driven a right hand drive car with a stick it's been a challenge to get used to.

Thanks for sharing that with us. Too cool.
