    Booster seat recommendations

Looking for a booster seat (can be backless, and/or belt positioning) that fits will in the front seat. Any recommendations? I have an Evenflo seat-positioning but it's still a little wide. I was thinking about measuring the base of the backless Harmony, because it looks fairly narrow and V-shaped. Any recommendations? My daughter is 6.

Can the air bag in the R8 be turned off? If not very bad idea to put a 6 year old there. When I had my Porsche Boxster I bought there seat which would probably be a good fit in R8 but it came with a connection to disable air bag when used.

Yes. At least on recent US models, it has a weight sensor that automatically disables the airbags for children. I have an older European owners manual and it shows a manual disable switch in the glove. My owners manual has a whole section on how to install Childs safety seats but no recommendations on models / brands.

I have found the Graco Turbobooster with or without the back works well.

daviddavidw, did you ever find a booster seat that works properly? i am in the same position also with a 6 year old girl. also, do you find that the booster seat ruins the leather of the car seat?

toecutter, i read that the graco turbobooster is well-rated by IIHS and a few others. any pros or cons of using that model in the R8 seats? does it "sit" well in the R8's bucket seats?

I have used the Graco turbobooster bottom for my 8 year old daughter. It is still too wide to fit between the bolsters, so it must be angled slightly. It works fine, however.

I actually place it atop the bolsters so as not to place weight on the air bag weight sensor.

There was no damage to the seats, but I have only taken my daughter out twice. If concerned, just put a towel between the seat and the booster.

I tried several, and found that this cheap on from WalMart actually fits the best. I drive my 6 year old all the time to school and no problems with the leather. It comes in pink and brown.
