Just Purchased A 2009 R8 4.2

Hey guys. Just wanted to make my introduction here. I just finalized the purchase of a 2009 R8 4.2 in Daytona Gray on Black. It is pretty much loaded with carbon fiber sideblade, engine compartment, and interior. I should be taking delivery of the car tomorrow afternoon (hoping). I also want to mention that I got the manual transmission. I don't know how I am going to sleep tonight. Tomorrow is also my birthday so the car better get here. Haha! Looking forward to being a part of this community.

Haha. Yeah. I think I was just googling some info on the R8 and came across the site. I actually signed up days ago, but for some reason my account was only activated today. Anyway, I'm glad to be here. Desperate to get my R8 already!

Haha! You get what you pay for. I guess I just got lucky. Anything interesting I should know about the R8? Any mods I need to do?

Welcome to the fold. An R8 not only sets you apart from the driving community it joins you to this family of R8 admirers. Most people add an exhaust system to the R8. I, myself, had an exhaust system put on by the Dealer before I even took delivery of the car. I had a Milltek system (www.millteksport.com) and enjoyed every day and every sound it made. I sold mine in preperation for a 5.2, which should be here before the end of the year. Clear protective covering for the front end, hood and rear view mirrors is also popular.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm happy to be here. I would definitely consider putting on an exhaust. Will definitely do the clear bra to keep the finish protected. I heard a Tubi exhaust and it sounded amazing. I have to see what the car comes with. Hoping it already has a clear bra and some goodies. Haha.
