2010 Nav Removal

Tried a second set of radio removal "keys" today in an effort to remove the nav unit from my 2010. Still no luck. The keys don't connect with the internal locking points and certainly don't click into place. I am inserting them with the straight edge to the outside (although I also tried them backwards). Any ideas?
