Had The Stasis V10 ECU Upgrade Done

Had the flash done today. Have not been able to take an extended drive without traffic yet, but I can confirm the difference is significant. The increased torque is very apparent in all situations. Throttle response is also sharper. No negative effects on driveability. I had previously added the Stasis exhaust and I am very happy with both mods. I will follow-up with a more detailed report in a couple of days.

I assume you need the exhaust to get the max out of the flash. Am wondering what type of gains would be had with the flash alone?

You certainly get more with the exhaust but you will get huge gains (about 50 hp+ ?) without it. I had some correspondence with their director of engineering on this and he said the following "... keep in mind with your exhaust we are actually finding another 15-20 HP in combination with the flash."

According to the Stasis preliminary data on their website, software + exhaust:

Power - 525 -> 552 Hp
Torque - 391 -> 432 ft/lbs

APR cites numbers for software only:

Power - 526 -> 583 Hp
Torque - 395 -> 431 ft/lbs

If these numbers are to be believed, APR software + any exhaust is the way to go. I wish we had some independant data though. It seems unlikely the software gains are that different.

Warranty does stay in place. My driveout cost was $3500.

Wonder if the warranty would stay in place with the APR software? I can see Stasis does since they have a relationship with Audi.

The issue is the same for the V8. Stasis and APR quote similar HP/torque gains for their ECU reflash. However the Stasis flash is over double the cost. From what I am told if the STASIS reflash is done by an authorized dealer, Audi will still warrantee the car...

Well, I saw the performance numbers of the guy who did the MTM V10 flash and they were far from impressive...
