GOING INSANE with these darn brake squeaks

I know, I know, another post about brake squeaks. I basically refuse to use my brakes anymore. The dealers don't care and Audi doesn't care.

It's literally driving me insane. I have very sensative hearing, and it's only amplified 10-fold for me. I’ve done all the tricks in the book. Drive 100MPH, do a bunch of sudden stops, etc, etc. Only to get louder.

I know the story. Everyone has brake squeaks, but it’s just getting ridiculous.

Thought I’d vent here. Not sure how many others share this frustration. It's just a shame not to enjoy driving with my windows down.

I started noticing them on mine ever since the temperatures in Vegas dropped. The sqeakes aren't always there though, thought they occurred after initial driving session. Liek someone mentioned in another post about the squeaks, they would disappear for me after hard braking. Nobody on the road notices it I guess (the car blinds them, they stop and stare and this is supposed to be Vegas)

I'm surprised to hear that? have found they go above and beyond to make R8 owners happy. Definitely something wrong with your car, other than a little squealing when temps fall below 40 I have never had any. Try going higher up at Audi.

Have you tried braking really hard a few times to see if it goes away?

I had this problem on a BMW once, but I guess it was just something on the actual rotors.

Don't think it's just his car at all... We get it on the R8 AND our S5... both when temps drop...

But we are in the north east, how cold is it in Santa Monica? Also seems my brakes are not squealing nearly as much this year as they did the first fall I drove it. Could they be worse when newer?

I have this problem. My R8 sounds like a bus breaking I have just changed the front brake discs as they where low and it has still started happening again. I was told my bake breaks should last till my next service (another 12,000 miles). I am in the UK and its winter now so its freezing so have the squeaking pretty much constantly.

I have it on both my S4 and R8. Changing pedal pressure a little either way usually helps. It's mildy annoying, but not unmanagable for me. Perhaps different brand pads would cure it?

I had this the first 7K miles and it drove me crazy. I did everything with only short term results. It finally just went away but I noticed when I drove and braked more aggressively, the noise would either go away or be less.
