R8 V8 Throttle Opening Max 75%???

I have been using the VAGCOM Rosstech tool in OBD-II mode. It allows you to record real-time values of the Engine and Vehicle parameters.

So, I decided to go for a drive and record Intake Air Temp, Vehicle Speed and Relative Throttle Position.

To my disappointment I found the Throttle Sensor only opens to 75%!!
This means my pedal is fully pressed to the floor and NOT ONE value was higher than 75%!

Could this be true? Is this maybe Audi trying to reduce the performance of the V8? Why hasn't anyone picked this up???

My sensor goes from 20% at idle - 80% at WOT. This IS full throw of the butterfly. There is an adaptation program in the ECU which runs sutomatically. It 'learns' the range of the TPS on each individual car. Similar to progamming the automatic windows by running them fully up and down.

So, in your experience, are you saying the butterfly DOES open FULLY on max throttle?

I don't have anyway to know for sure, but I think so!

I think what you are seeing in OBD-II mode is not the throttle position sensor (TPS) on the engine, but instead the input to the computer from the sensor(s) on the gas pedal.
