Well selling and buying, got a test drive booked on a V10, hope I am not disappointed.
To those that have traded up, is it really that different???
Be nice if the weather was better snow is the last thing you really need on a road test.

I havnt driven a V10 yet, but I love my V8. Insurance would be a bit to high on a V10 given my age so going to stick with my current car for the foreseeable future. Instead slowly turning my car into a V10 replica lol. Got V10 sideskirts and soon to have V10 bumper. The interior is the same just more extras as standard so I guess it comes down to whether you need the extra power as you can make a V8 look almost identical to a V10 without spending much money..
I haven't owned a V8, but test drove both before choosing the V10. The V8 is a little more of a finesse car, the V10 is more point and shoot. When it comes to sound, the V8 is distinctly American, whereas the V10 is more European, which is kind of the opposite of the first parameter.
i just traded in my 09 911 turbo for the V10 R8. I can not truly put into words how much i love this car. i got the r tronic. it takes a few days to fully appreciate it. tonight i drove all the way home in manual mode with the paddle shifters. it was awesome. i could go on and on, but i think you get the point. i have had the car about 3 weeks.
I traded the V8 in for the V10, and having driven it home quietly from the dealer, the next day I turned it over on choke in the garage and startled wildlife on the other side of the bay! I never looked back.
Great test drive, so thanks to Bert and Stanstead Audi for the experience.
I struggled to believe that it is the same car, it felt bigger, better built and much quieter than the V8.
Pity is they have a new R8 Spyder in stock in Sepang blue with the important toys.....I take delivery end of next week.......yippeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!

Wow congrats mate, hopefully one day I can afford the spider. How do you finding the drive in the spider?
Not driven a Spider yet just read the road tests in the magazines to help me make the decision, the tempting part was if you include the January tax rise I got about 12k in UK pounds off list.

Congratulations. Man I love you British. You live in a country which gets three nice days per year, yet still you posses an undying love for ragtops.
And before anyone thinks I'm being insulting here, my grandfather served in the RFC during WWI and I am in the business of selling parts for classic British convertibles. Even my avatar is a picture of an MG Midget engine.
