NOOB R-tronic Question

hello,
my father just purchased a 08 audi r8 w/ r-tronic that had clutch replaced by old owner before purchasing. Anyways, before ruining the clutch are there any tips on how to use to shift/downshift? i never drove a manual and my father is a bit bitter to say the least to teach me. i've been shifting @ 3500-4000 rpm but oblvious to when to downshift. thanks

The r tronic will downshift automatically for you, so you don't "have" to downshift at all.

By upshifting at 3500-4000, you're missing out on so much of the R8's power and melody. Let the engine fully warm up and run it up before shifting.

Wait ... your dad is letting you drive his new R8? On a regular basis?
