Jet Blue

Hi Guys

I recieved a snydy message from a forum member today, I wont say his name but hes the one who always moans if someone posts a thread in the wrong section. He was asking why i picked such an "ugly" color. I personally really like the colour, it looks great in person and with carbon parts they really stand out. I am considering a red wrap soon, but wondered what you guys think of the blue before I go a head.

Color is a matter of taste, and I don't think its worth an argument or even accepting someone's remark on how much they dislike it.

Let them buy the car with the colors they like, or wrap it with the colors they like.

I like it but you don't see it too often in Germany because blue is overall not that famous here.

I like it, It looks good plus I've only ever seen one and that was mark25's one.
You see a lot of silver and black ones but not so many other colours.

Is there a reason for that or just that people like silver and black?

Hey, colour is personal taste! My first R8 was in Solar Orange! Some people hated it, but who cares? Jet Blue, with Carbon Blades and Matt Grey wheels will look hot!

Mark, Jet blue is a great colour, i was not allowed to choose it as my Wife says its her favourite colour and it would not be fair! so, she told me i could have Sepang blue instead!

My next R8 is going to be Samoa Orange so i know its not to everyones taste but it would be a boring world if we all liked the same colours!

If resale residual value is meaningful to you, then black, white, silver, gray, or red are the obvious choices as they are produced in the greatest numbers. Otherwise, if the blue appeals to you and you're not overly concerned about it having slightly less resale value because it has less mass appeal, then by all means go for it! I really love Tour De France Blue on the Ferrari 458 and 430 but it will not hold up as well as resale red or black. It's your money and you've got to be happy and not let other people's opinions sway you. Once you get behind the wheel and hear that wonderful howl, all thoughts of color will disappear and the driving experience will be all that counts, trust me!
