It'll be interesting to see if the detail stitching will be in contrasting colours on the R8 seats .. when I was at my dealers putting down my V10 deposit ... there was a TT there with contrasting light grey stitching which included the seats ... I suppose I should have asked my dealer to find out but I suspect we'll find out on here before he does!
Gone but not forgotten ...
VW Golf V6 4motion (does just what it says on the tin)
Vauxhall Lotus Carlton (a beast of a motorway cruiser)
Honda NSX, manual JDM (a beauty to drive anywhere)
Audi RS4, B7 saloon (awesome on any road - or track)
What is the leather colour in these photos?
Judging by the 2nd photo, the shift paddles are kind of invisible as they are small and attached right behind the 2 horizontal spokes of the steering wheel - like my DSG GTI (& A3). As Kreso told me earlier, they are attached to the steering wheel as opposed to the steering column (like Ferrari). This is fine as our hands are supposed to be on the steering all the time. But if Audi makes the paddles a little longer, our hands can also be at the 10 & 2 o' clock positions, instead of just being limited to the 9 & 3 o' clock positions.

This car doesn't have the carbon fibre option. The interior is leather wrapped and the engine compartment is plain covers.
The carbon fibre option has the carbon fibre interior (door trim and handles, etc.) and the engine bay also has carbon fibre trim (side covers and air filter boxes).

That would be...Pale Gray with Extended Leather and Deviated (pale gray) color stitching on those items. It's a very light gray, almost off-white, tough color for the carpeting!
STILL haven't seen decent pictures of a non-extended leather interior. If it's a vinyl material, padded like the leather, it will probably look fine. If it simply hard (or even slightly soft) plastic the Ext Lea option is probably worth it, as is the few bucks more for the color stitching.
"Ezveedub" ... as can be seen when my original response to "rmclachlan" is viewed in its entirety ... my post was in direct response to "rmclachlan" asking what colour the leather was ... if it is not beige, maybe you can tell us what colour the leather is ... or if it is beige, maybe you can confirm it for us ...
I think we are all well aware this car doesn't have CF inlays in the interior ... and from the three photos shown in the initial post ... it's not obvious what trim it has around the engine, although I wouldn't be surprised if the Fourtitude gallery has more pictures of this car showing the engine bay ... which possibly explains why you are saying it has standard engine bay trim.

As for the door & inlay, door panel leather appears to be the standard beige (A8), the side trim in very dark almost carbon color plastic (coated surface), the handle is also an almost black leather grip with the contrast stitching. As for the seats, I have not seen any with contrasting stitching as of yet. The A-pillar and roof are in Alcantera biege also.
