    Laughable reading light

Is it just me, or are the reading light LEDs in our R8s completely and utterly useless?

I'm finding myself forced to use my mobile phone's LED flashlight quite often which is around a hundred times brighter than the two reading lights put together.

Anyone thought of replacing them with LEDs that actually make some light?

Wow. Mine work great. They are the brightest interior lights I have ever had in a car.

My V8 was great, the V10 not so much! I was using them to eject my SD cards and could not see at all.

    Re: Laughable reading light

Anyone else having bright lights in the V8 and less so in the V10? These things are dim as hell.

To further explain how dim they are I'll say when someone sees the car for the first time and wants to take a look at the interior at night, I turn those two LEDs on and it remains almost entirely dark in there.

I'll try to check in a V8 of a guy I know, but I have no idea when that's going to happen.

Have only used it once that I can remember. Worked just fine. Plenty of light.

They spot too much, not enough flood. Bright, but sort of useless unless I want to look at the coffee I've just spilled on my pants.

    Re: Laughable reading light

I had the same issue when I first purchased my V8. After reading the manual I found a switch in the center near the rear view mirror. Once I flipped this switch to the center setting everything became very bright when I opened the door and used the map lights.

I hope this works for you.

My Spyder V10's interior lights are pitiful, too. Headlights are great, though.

I have the same problem, my V8's reading lights are garbage they do not do anything at all. I turn them on at night my car will still be pitch black.

    Re: Laughable reading light

Hey guys, am I missing something here? They are READING LIGHTS, not interior illumination lights! I think mine work just fine for the intended purpose. I don't want to lose my night vision just because I need to read something briefly in the car at night.
