If you couldn't order your current colors, what combo would you buy?

Well? I am between a few colors.

I am about to order and really struggling with the colors. I was in the blacks last month and now I am thinking grey and CF side blades with black interior and CF through out. The lighter colors seem to show off the CF blade and the front and back black vents/fins. But the car doesn't need much more to get attention. Looks so low and wide it is a head turner.

Then I see that darker grey and it looks great to. Then I see the threads about the blue and start to scratch my head. Errrrrrrr.

If you had to order tomorrow and couldn't order your current combo, what would that be?

    Thanks guys...

Colour choice is so difficult, when I first started looking I loved whited but couldnt justify the price difference, I really liked black as well but had a black car before so wanted something different, then I saw my car in Jet Blue and really liked it. I was thinking of getting it wrapped but more I think about it more I realise I do actually like it how it is now.

Got Silver with C/F blades since I wanted car with no waiting but if ordered would be Sepang Blue with C/F blades. Plan on that for my upcoming R8V10. Will probably get rid of current car October-November and not mind waiting since it will be winter. So if anyone is interested I will list my car here then

This will be my 3rd season with car and thats longer than I have kept cars in past. Plan is to have Stasis Supercharger/Exhaust waiting at dealer to be installed before pick up. Really loving car but find that Sepang so beautiful. My car will be great deal for some buyer, should only have about 16k miles when it gets sold, never tracked and stored all winter covered in heated garage also all mods will stay on car

You get my vote already for most caring and loving owner of 2011.

Putting clothes on your car and keeping the garage heater on.

V10 should be a absolute real deal weapon.

Re: If you couldn't order your current colors, what combo would you buy?

I wouldn't have chosen my Phantom Black in the first place but accepted it since it was the only Spyder in Florida but have come to appreciate it. My wife loves the color but if I had a choice, I'd opt for most any other color except black because it is so hard to keep clean. It shows everything! And since it requires so much attention its clear coat gets easily scratched with minute swirls caused by tiny bits of grit no matter how careful one is in cleaning and wiping down the paint. So, black isn't going to be my choice next time, you can rest assured. I'd consider Daytona Grey or Jet Blue (not a fan of Sepang, though), or Silver, or my favorite Ipanema Brown (despite the fact that many find it not to their liking). I'd also opt for one of the light interior colors such as tan or silver, depending on the exterior color.

If you're leaning toward black or grey or silver, my advice is to go with either the grey or silver and the car won't show dust the way black does, nor show all the swirls in the clear coat which are unavoidable.

Have owned 3 black cars now including a R35,which had pretty soft paint and scratched easily.

Some blacks do better than others in hiding dust and dependent on the clear coat and washing technique some are less swirl prone.

Its the one color that you must clay bar twice a year.

It is a tough color to maintain, but if like myself its only a weekend car that's fine for me.

I love Quartz Grey but the R8 is the only car Audi produces where it's not a standard color.I would get Quartz with the quartz sideblade or quartz with the Daytona sideblade.

Question: does anyone think the R8 looks better when the sideblade is a darker color than the body?
