    Outside the U.S.

Since the R8 was available a year earlier in OTHER parts of the world than the U.S. Can someone from those areas speak about their depreciation levels? I'm amazed at how well the R8 has held it's value here in the states. Is it the same elsewhere?

    Thanks,

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we can gauge another countries depreciation rate to ours as their are numerous factors that affect the numbers. It also has to do with the supply and demand in the country. So you would have to look at the countries economic conditions as well as the supply and demand, right?

Certainly, but I was just looking for a general flavor of things. Not too specific and in depth.

Oh, gotcha. I think Audi has done a great job worldwide with the production numbers of the R8. They have kept production extremely low and the demand is still high.

Agreed. Last I heard, they were putting out 20 a day. I almost wish production would stop, or become less of anyways. Purely to keep values up.

In Germany: close to 50% with 2-3 years and 20,000+ miles.

If the R8 is like Porsche (I'm too poor to know about the exotic stuff), miles are the killer. Porsche values can drop considerably past 20k miles.

R8 UK V8 average 35/40% depreciation in 3 years, V10 3 years unkown yet but guess 30%, V10 Spyder again unkown yet but in my experience on the Spyder 7 months old 20% depreciation, however, that will be down to the seasonal blip, poor market conditions and as you know you take a big hit if getting out early, hey ho! thats life and choices.
