Dude ... you could use a touque as apparently you and me go to the same barber :-) On second thought, I'm sleeping with mine :-)
Doug Buchanan ... '08 4.2 R-Tronic with STaSIS S/C in Jet Blue; Oxy Silver sideblades; Limestone Grey interior
Carbon credits ... via SMART four-two
Previous machines ... a variety of Porsches (E, SC, 930, 993)
Brake Squeal at 3:37 and a "Whoa" at 5:21 as I loose the back end a bit. Go Pro needs to be a bit lower (or higher). You are right - need to wear a touque (skull cap for us yanks) next time.

You are a crazy man. Haha. Had the heat on full blast?

Here in SW Florida when the temp dips down below 60 F, the top goes up and I'm more likely then to drive my Bentley (which is being mostly ignored the past several weeks since the R8 came into the family) because the R8 with the top up insulates me from the exhaust sounds and lessens the driving enjoyment considerably. To those of you in colder climes I must sound like a total wuss but I'm just not a fan of being cold and have little tolerance for it since I'm a Florida native. And the older I get, the more sensitive to cold I become. So, much as I admire you Polar Bear Club members, don't expect to see me out there with you!

Man, your roads are straight... Nice vid!

Tried this once and suprisingly, it's like a warm air pocket I was sitting in, left air on Auto and notice fan speed was at medium setting the whole time.
With the heat on it isn't bad. The back of your neck and ears get cold but there is very little wind or air movement with the rear window up.
I'll have to get the "official" head gear for my next outing.
Yeah dude....
No rain - top down, almost regardless of temp's.
Rain - top (usually) up or a different car used. Gotta' protect the R8.
Simple!
