    misfire...again

5th time car misfired, again called R8 roadside, dealership 90 miles away. Car towed to dealership. Tech ran a GFF log and found some sporadic misfires in 3 cylinders. Tech called techline and completed a manual BG fuel injection and induction cleaning. This is the 5th misfire in 11 months of ownership. Only put shell gasoline, add the audi fuel additive every 1000 miles.
    This is getting annoying.

    Jeff

Maybe you should change gas stations?

I had repeated cases of random misfires when the car was new. So I stopped going to two Chevron stations conveniently near my home and work, and started using a quite newly constructed 76 station halfway between said locations. I also try to put 100UL in the car on a semi-regular basis. Anyway, I haven't had any random misfires since. One of those original stations probably had bad tanks.

Hmmm...never thought about switching gas stations....is exxon now considered a acceptable premium gas? This area is full of wawa gas stations, exxon and one shell station

I had a similar problem with another car I had at a particular Mobil station near my office. Switched stations (different Mobil), and never had another problem.

I still use Mobil in the R8 and use their premium which is 93 octane. Mobil was not on an older Top Tier retailer list but I know they are now.
