B-Pillar

This may be a stupid question, but...

In reading Car & Driver's review of the R8 Spyder, the writer talks about how thickened A- and B-pillars help restore much of the stiffness lost by having the roof chopped off. My simple question is:

Where is the B-pillar on a convertible?

There isn't a true B pillar but they are probably referring to the bulkhead directly behind the seats.

It is the rear door jamb. If you look at one of the xray views of the chassis you'll see that this is one of the largest structural pieces in the coupe. The top of the shoulder harness attaches to the top of the B-pillar.
