2011 R8 European Tour Poll

Guys, starting a thread to gauge interest in a 2011 R8 Tour and work together on a location, route and date. Anyone interested please vote below and we'll start a planning thread.

We did Timmelsjoch and around Garmisch last year, amongst the usual favourites. Just doing some research just now on some other routes as well. All suggestions welcome of course!

I would love to come out...but I am not too sure if I have warrants for my arrest, from my last Euro trip. I did get cited a couple of times and MIGHT have bumped someones mirror while splitting lanes in Stuttgart.(on motorrad).

I wonder what the delivery date on my 2011 will be and if I could pick it up in Europe for a few days of driving prior to it being shipped out?

It would be a nice little trip if that were to work.

I have my V10 coupe being built in Week 9-10.

I have a helpful contact inside Audi H.O.Germany who is trying to see if it is possible for a Australian Bound car to be factory delivered in Germany.

I have my annual Europe trip in a few months so it would tie in well.

My dealer says no,but I am hopeful for a 3rd time R8 owner they can move a mountain(Alp?)somehow.

Certainly, apart from the unlicensed thrill and stupendous noise of 54 cylinders from 6 R8s being spontaneously floored when we hit the Autobahn, the best of the tour was elsewhere. Apart from the factory tour I suppose as well. And the Nurburgring, maybe. Ok we'll have to find you a dodgy passport. Can you pass as a Brit, Harrison?
