V10 Audi R8 Rental in Europe???

Hey Guys

I am an owner of an r8 here in the states, I am planning on doing a drive across europe starting in the UK, does anyone here know a high end car rental service in europe for a 2 - 3 week rental?

Expect this to be in the area of 1000 Euros and up per day... they also have crappy mileage restrictions.

There are a few companies but you'd need to be specific on route and I'll try to recall a name or two that match your needs.

If I were you, wanting to rent an R8 for 2-3 weeks and go through at least several thousand kilometers, I would buy one in Germany, drive it on temporary plates and return it to the dealer valued a few thousand Euros less. Or some sort of similar arrangement with a very friendly dealer. Messy.

I looked into car hires in Germany (wanted LHD) for last year's Alps trip. I thought it was quite expensive (Euro ₠6,700 quoted for the duration and mileage of the Alps trip, after some negotiation) and the insurance deductibles quite high, and so this put me off making the trip. (To my detriment, I should add!)

There was a more affordable rental company of RHD cars in the UK which the guys found, you might search on the Alps trip threads to find it.
