Did anyone else notice that the carbon fiber that makes an arch over the instruments goes from glossy to matte? The portion under the windshield has been sanded to a flat finish whereas the part that faces the occupants is glossy. This was obviously done to avoid casting a reflection on the windshield. Did you also notice that even the black dashboard gets reflected off the inside of the windshield? It's not obtrusive (to me) but is surprising that black would be so reflective. I guess it's part of whatever is used to finish the enhanced leather to make it not absorb the heat of direct sun which must cause some degree of reflectivity. Fortunately, this minor amount of reflection is unobtrusive, but I'm guessing that glossy CF would have been much too reflective.

Yep...noticed it right off.
Its pretty much like the glare shield on some aircraft; the flat black area on the nose and over the instrument panel that keeps the sun from reflecting and blinding the pilot.
Sure am glad those Audi boys incorporated it!

I noticed it as well. I'm also annoyed by the reflection of one of the (nice) shiny metal caps we have in the engine bay, it reflects on the rear wind shield. I'm considering painting it matte black.
