Anybody done Audi Exclusive w/ some of the darker brown leathers?

Working on my order and i want to do i think one of the darker browns for the leather for an enhanced package with the door inserts etc. but i do not have a good feel for it. Seen the small samples but really want to see pictures in the car. Anyone have Chestnut, Saddle or Havana brown?

I guess the good news by the lack of responses is that if i do it i will indeed have a unique R8... I'm thinking i need to fly to one of the Audi forum locations to see the huge pieces of leather rather than the little squares my dealer has. I don't need any $4000 mistakes on my choice. Ugh.

mmaturo, just one word of caution.

I'm also ordering an exclusive color, and decided to go with a black interior. That's because the only time I had the equivalent of Audi luxor beige on my BMW, I noticed how often the door panels would get smeared with black lines from the soles of one's shoe (or, a passenger's shoe, over which you have less control!).

Although I agree the the darker leather might hide those marks better, I still think the marks would show.

True, good point...the door panel does go all the way down with the leather. I do nail my RS6 door and TT but the leather stops at the arm rest. I have 'silver' now in my RS6 and have had zero issues keeping the rest of the leather clean over 5+ years so I feel good about that anyway. I 100% must have a black floor carpet, i think Audi is nuts with the standard 'silver' and beige options to have the light carpets. They do not stand a chance...in my climate anyway. Just with that I know i will have to special order as i am also thinking about red exterior with the silver interior but no way in heck do i want light carpets.

These color samples may give a slight idea of the coverage and shades of the leather. They all look stock colors and are not Audi exclusive though, not from what I've seen so far.

Nice link...book marking that...still thinking about red w/ silver interior, ibis with red, and another gray im thinking about with a particular leather custom ordered so that does help.

Not sure if Cognac extended leather as [pictured is dark enough but I think it sure looks good! Not so, the dark brown with black trim.

The first pic looks more like Tuscan...the second two Cognac...I have Cognac on a coupe....I can send more if you wish, I have enhanced AE Cognac leather, black wheel tho....I never posted on this thread as I thought you were looking a darker colors...

how about s-h-i-t brown? sorry, couldn't help it, looking at one of the pictures I was torn between naming it that or milk chocolate brown....
