Audi R8 (v10) MMI Coding HELP!!

Hi Guys,

I have an audi R8 here in Singapore.

I recently purchased an ipod retrofit kit from OEM, and after installing it proceeded to change the coding as requested by manual supplied to me by OEM.

1) The CAN gatesway
2) The Radio Coding
3) The AMI coding

I had no problems changing 1) and 3), but after trying several times to change 2), the radio coding we were given an error saying 'the code is not withing range'.

I am wondering if this is due to the fact that my car is the "Asian' version, as it is meant for Singapore, or is there a walk about for it? Any ideas much appreciated. I have already written to OEM and waiting their response.

Thought any of you might have had the same issue.

What scan tool are you using to adjust the coding? Does it show you options for input values? If it does you can see what other choices there are that fit the vehicle and hopefully figure it out.

Hi. I used a standard VCDS. We didn't see any other alternative codes.

When you hover over the coding there is no window that pops up with options? It may be different in other countries :/
