Highest mileage R8.

Hello! I have been admiring the R8 for several years, and was blown away by how drivable it is when I finally was offered a drive in one of the V8 models a couple of years ago. In the meantime I have a lawyer friend of mine convinced that this is what he has to have, and he was asking me about reliability. He puts a lot of miles on his cars and we were both curious what the highest mileage anyone has seen on an R8 is, and how the cars held up when getting into the upper end of the mileage spectrum?

I searched, but could not find any threads regarding higher mileage on the R8, so I appreciate any feedback. Thank you! Have a great day!

25K miles, 2 years, 2 months. No mechanical problems.

I really don't think one would buy an R8 expecting it to outlast a Toyota or Honda. It's just not that class of vehicle. I'm sure it could potentially, but at a much, much higher cost. I suspect this is not most drivers primary vehicle.

I use my R8 as a daily driver. I've had a fuel pump replaced because of a mild hesitation on starting and accelerating and now it's going in for some squeaks in the engine area. It's a really great car and I love driving it.

Servicing is a problem in that the number of R8 certified techs is limited at the dealerships and what would be a 1-2 day service at Porsche is a 1-2 week deal at the Audi place.

Is it worth it? Yes.

Do I wish I had my Porsche back? No

I am a 2nd owner, obtained it from a MN Audi dealership and it has currently 31000 miles. 2+ months of ownership now and the only thing that bugs me is I wish I could put my wife and daughter in it with me (hence, a wish for a 2+2 ferrari but thats another story). It is sort of my daily driver now, though there are continuing times when I wish I didn't have to drive it often mainly because there is still a part of me that wants to keep it a secret from the public (it obviously gets too much attention and that can be a tiring thing).

Oh and of course, got brand new tires when I got it at 28000 miles from the dealership. No mechanical problems on exam of its history. It did get a recall to relocate the antenna; after that got done in Vegas, I noticed that the prior bug of losing the bluetooth signal intermittently completely disappeared.
