    Discount off MSRP

Just bought an R8 Spyder and thought I would share the experience for use by other members. Bought mine in the Montreal region and suggested price is $187,800 plus Transport $2795. Taxes and luxury taxes not included, but includes $800 for pearl paint finish.
Negotiated a 4 1/2% discount on the car.
In Montreal region, car comes fully equiped except for leather Package, and the carbon options, 19 mags, and black piano finish on the interior.

My experinece was that they said they were not negotiable, but when I sat down they move a little. Hope this helps to keep the price down on a good looking car.

Unfortunate that they come w/o the two most important options. Not having the extended leather and carbon options make for a dreary interior i.m.o.

I suspect that's why they were willing to deal. There was an R8 at the dealership that just had the standard Alcantara seats. It had been there a LONG time I imagine.

You may be right, but, it may also be a question of preference. In a spyder, the leather on a dash is a lot more work. I think that if you look to race the car the carbon is super, otherwise, it's not a big thing, on a spyder anyway.
There was another spyder for sale at another dealer that had been there a few months and was still there since I took it for a test drive, but it had the carbon and also the leather and had been sitting there since the summer. I didn't make an offer on it, because of the leather and carbon options. However it is still there with all the options.
From my limited knowledge of the Audi, the carbon is nice on the coupe, but on the spyder, for $10,000 odd dollars, I don't see much of a difference. The leather on the dash in a cabrio is asking for trouble unless you drive with the top up.
Having read the posts, I gather that there are areas where the car demands a premium and other places where they are willing to deal.
