My convertible top is water-tight in the rain and when I hand wash the car, but the one and only time I tried my local brushless drive-thru car wash, copious amounts of water poured in at the corner of the passenger-side windshield. Even though I probably won't use a car wash, I don't like having smoke blown up my ass which is what happened when I asked my local dealer's service dept. to fix the leak. Their response was that the owner's manual says that the car should only be hand washed and not run thru an automated car wash. I checked, and that's total B.S.: use of a brushless car wash is perfectly acceptable so long as the car is driven thru, not pulled thru on a conveyor. One can even use a pressure washer, according to the manual and yet my local service manager said that the top was designed only for rain and not high-pressure water whatsoever. He also said that he's afraid that adjusting the top to not leak at the front corner might lead to a new leak elsewhere or to new wind noises. Not very confidence-inspiring, is it?
