Audi R8 Pilots Program

Am I (as usual) late to the party and just now finding out about old news or is the Audi R8 Pilots Program actually something new? It sure sounds exciting and wasn't mentioned in the thread about the R8 Driving Experience so I'm thinking maybe this is brand new.

I received in today's mail a brochure about the Pilots Program but there's lots to see (and hear!) at their website:

I got it also, but their registration process didn't work for me. Tried several times, couldn't get it to work.

I can only suggest to keep trying because it worked for me a little while ago. So, it is something new? I'm such a noob that I get excited by things I discover which turn out to be old hat to most of the old-timers who've been driving R8s for years already. I guess it is something new. So far, the only one-on-one tutoring with a professional driver on a racecourse is in Germany, but I'm still checking the website to see if such training and track time will be offered elsewhere.

Nothing new. Audi has not done much with R8 Pilots site since someone created the web page a long time ago. Sad.

Same package showed up a few days ago. Have not looked at the website or the sign in process. I figured if it took Audi a full year to send it to me, can't be that interesting.

There are only a few threads in their forum and more than half are in German.
The website code seems very, very buggy. For example their version of the Garage keeps crashing when I try to update info on my car.
Still not ready for prime time; they don't seem to be putting many/any resources into this.

I agree that the website needs work. It is hard to navigate through some of the features, and some specifically don't work... like the mobile features of ringtones and mobile wallpapers. I've tried 001xxxxxxxxxx and 01xxxxxxxxxx, which doesn't work. I've also tried 1xxxxxxxxxx, and that one keeps showing up as an error.

What I did find interesting at the site was the fact that we can travel to big races like Le Mans and get close to the action, or get individual tutelage behind the wheel of a V10 with a race driver. I also think the videos on the site are awesome.
