    Took the same route....2009 turbo to a 2010 R8 V10.

Surprised about your comment on the "high" seating. I still have Porsches and find the R8 to sit lower than the the 911s.

I just measured my seat and at its lowest setting it is 6.5" off the carpet and 10" at its highest (measurement taken from carpet to top front of bottom cushion). If yours is significantly outside that range, then take it in to be looked at but if it is within that range, sounds normal.

I find I sit much much higher in the '04 C4S than in the R8 - that's with both cars with their seats adjusted all the way to the floor.

Higher (or lower) in relation to what? The ground outside? The top of the door? The ceiling?

Yeah, I don't get some of our members who post stuff and then don't follow up on it. I got contacted by 5 or 6 members asking me where I got carpet mats so I PM'd each one individually and later asked the vendor if he'd heard from anyone and not one person had actually bothered to use the info they'd asked me for! Sheesh! Why bother?

I think the perception of height may simply be an illusion created by spiritual elevation.

    Re: 997 turbo to v10 r8

It's also a bit surreal that a comparison of going from a 911 Turbo, or any Porsche for that matter, to an R8 boils down to which one has the higher or lower seating position.

    Shirley you jest.
