V8 vs V10 engine sound - which do you prefer ?

Well I've just got back into my 2011 V8 spyder after having a 2011 V10 coupe courtesy car for the past 7 days. Absolutely loved the V10 for the extra grunt available, but have to admit I was a little disappointed by the engine noise. Sure, at high revs the noise was equally if not more intoxicating than the V8 but in normal driving I personally prefer the burbling sound of the V8. Of course it's all subjective, but apart from the extra 100 horses I think I'm happier with my engine choice.

I will reserve judgment until I fit a aftermarket to my V10 but as of today definitely a V8 sound for me.

My pickup truck makes V8 sounds. I'll take the V10 for its unique quality. Having said that, the stock exhaust is hopelessly quiet. I like the look of the Stasis, but worry it might be a bit too much.

I'm surprised how quiet both of the engines are with the stock exhausts. I think on balance i'd still opt for the howl of a V10 on full boil.

The sound of the V8 through STOCK exhausts is what gets my adrenaline up and running. (Can't someone make a stock quiet exhaust that improves performance???)

The 8 has a throatier, more ballsy sound to me over the V10. Mind you, the V10 sounds great, I just like the rumble of the 8 better.

Late last night in Vegas a brand new orange Gallardo roadster followed me for several blocks, only wishing to compliment me on the sound of my exhaust. He said it was as good as he has ever heard. For a street machine, I agree with him 100%.
V8 with SC and STaSiS exhaust.

V8 for me - did not like the V10 sound at all (too artificial) and it was one of my main reasons to order the V8 (next to the smoother looks). I just love the V8 sound in high revs and low gears..

Let's all hit up Lexus and see if they can make an audio track to go with our engines, like they've done with the LFA.

I'll take a SCAT V-4 sound, please. (or maybe a stock 1962 VW Bug audio track. I'd like my R8 to sound like the Jetson's flying car)
