R8 V10 R Tronic UK order :-)

Guys

Going to put down my order for a R8 V10 R Tronic this weekend. Going for IBIS White, carbon mirrors, black pack, 5 arm rotor wheels, bucket seats etc, basically near enough every spec there is.

Question to my UK buddies, when ordering new from dealer, given the total price im paying £134-ish, what should i be pushing for in terms of knocking down the dealer price and/or getting extras thrown in etc?? Wondered what other people have managed to haggle!

Used to be into my cars but went to Switzerland for 4 years and been back 4 years now but time is right to get something a little faster! Piccy of my previous toy...TVR Tuscan S which I was fortunate to have a special colour which got me invited to star in the Le Mans drivers parade in Le Mans town the night before the race in 2004...oh the memories! but hey have something better to look forward to now!

I got about 8K off my Spyder from the dealer, but it was a stock car, fully loaded in Sepang Blue but with stock seats, I had buckets in my RS4 and they did not wear well and were a pain to get into and out of.

I got a ton off mine but it was a car in stock (a canceled order) rather than a my own order had a few marks ect obvious been in sitting a while.

you can only ask might be worth asking a few dealers tho.

Are the R8's not selling so well in the uk? 8k off? How did you manage that? :O

I was looking to buy a one year old R8 V10 but if I can find a stock car with 8K off then surely I should look at new?

Mine was brand new well it had no plates had a lot more than £8,000 off.
I do enjoy a good haggle tho.

I would say its not going great for any car sales in the uk but my local dealer seems to have the same 2 R8s I looked at a few months ago.

Roughly how much more did you manage to get off yours? Was it the coupe or the spyder, V8 or V10?

First off good luck with your purchase, you cant go wrong with an R8.

But I still cant understand why people spend so much just to have a car brand new. A V10 R8 for £134,000? You must have totally maxed out the extras as that isnt far of buying an R8 GT. You can pickup V10s with just a few thousand miles now for close to £90,000. Why spend the extra £45,000? I can understand if money is no object but still...

I think it comes down to how much you got to spend and what you want want.

how did you get too £134,000 Mine is loaded even has custom seats (not that they are nice) Mine had a list price of £126,000 not that I paid that

I saved about £15,600

Never been interested in a R8 GT just paying for the limited run imo for the extra money I could make mine a 700-800hp beast.
