Complete DVD Repair Manual

These repair and service manuals may have been discussed before, but I thought I would share. I was searching Ebay for a used R8 Bentley manual, but came acrossthese instead (must be found on International Ebay sites). These are complete service manuals for maintenance, repair, wiring, etc. by ElsaWin, and include essentially the same illustrations and information that I have seen other post from Bentley Manuals. They not only include the R8, but every Audi model since around 1996.

They are only $16 so I thought, what the heck!

These only work with 32-bit Win XP-Win 7 operating systems, however.

Very handy together with ETKA which I also now have, it uses online updates so can always be kept up-to-date. Audi release updates maybe twice weekly so I just click 'update' and it downloads the latest weekly updates then installs them

The only thing I am missing now is a VAS 5052 diagnostics computer because I believe VAG used to include the diagnostic instructions in ELSAWIN but have since done away with that idea and now have it on a dedicated computer called the VAS 5051. I believe the Bentley manual does include diagnostic instructions though.

So I figure the best 'toolkit' would be:

ELSAWIN
ETKA
VCDS and cable for diagnostics
Bentley manual for diagnostic instructions if you can't figure it out yourself from practical lessons using VCDS.

I was so close to doing the same until I did some searching around and was lucky to come across an updated version of what I had some years ago so I knew what to look for, just did some google searching and came up with a more up-to-date version of everything.

Let me know which version of ELSA you are running, probably 3.70. I can share 3.81 if desired, it doesn't really update the underlying data but more the actual application itself I believe.

I was in such a hurry that I didn't read all your post and bought it from E Bay. Problem is I have a 64 bit window 7. How do I get the free upgrade you mentioned....thanks

That would be great! Yeah, it is 3.7 version. Does it run on 64-bit systems? I have to run my current version on my wife's 32-bit laptop.

elio, you really were quick off the mark weren't you given that it doesn't work on 64bit machines at all to my knowledge. But heck, it shouldn't be too much trouble for you to pick up a 32bit machine

Here is the 3.81 update but be aware you may have to reload the data from the data DVDs once 3.81 is installed.

The 2011 Audi data files can be found in this txt file.

Need a little more info on how to download. For some reason I can't acess the site to get the download
