WTF am I thinking?!?!?

Came across this, http://www.audijax.com/used/Audi/201...323f8950f8.htm (literally 2 hours ago) and actually started to negotiate a deal, even though there was a current deal "pending". Turns out they made the deal afterall.
My car even has a couple more options than this V10, (c.f. mirrors and door sill inserts) but...... at $149.900 for a 2011 with 1,000 miles, how couldn't I have?!?!!
And I've only put 600 miles on my car since owning it!! That V10 power keeps calling my name!!!!!!

Probably not what you want to hear, but roaming around these parts only makes one obsess over what they don't have, even when they already have more than they could imagine. Just go back out and take a quick jaunt in your V8 and then sit and stare at her sweet hips for a few minutes as she cools down, and you'll remember that she has everything you'd ever need, because she truly does. Then, if you're still not happy, you can think about whether or not the financial loss is worth the gain in happiness. It just might be. One can never justify owning something that pulls at the heart, and one does not have to. But obsession does drive a man to toil a bit more than necessary over the faintest of differences. And from what I've read, the V10 isn't necessarily all the fuss anyway.

Supercharge it!!!! Like you I couldn't get more power out of my head but really didn't want to get rid of a car that was only 1 1/2 years old and had already put a fair amount of money into modding.

I know I've said it before, but I would personally rather pay up less for a V10, than what a s.c. costs. That being said, if/when you decide to sell yours, keep me in mind. Yours is probably one of my favorites, and most tastefully modded as I would do myself.

GREAT first post! I might just do that, go out to the garage, take the cover off, and stare for a while! You made some really valid and humbled points that might just snap me out of this. Thank you. And welcome to the forum.

Soho.... thank you, once again. I keep going back and reading your post. It was so well said, and quite frankly, has me appreciating that ol' 2010 V8 I have sitting under wraps in the garage waiting to breathe again. Might hit 50 degrees this Saturday. Time to stretch her legs and wake her from hibernation!

I know how you feel. I would love a V10 but couldnt justify the hit I would take on selling my V8 after all the miles I had added, so instead just made it look like a V10 for a fraction of the cost lol. Need to invest in some rental properties before I even think about another car tho!

For me I toiled and was Bi Polar with the V8/V8 SC /V10 upgrade for almost 2 years.

I loved and adored my V8 Coupe,but as we know things eat away at us and we look towards the mirage of higher fulfillment and satisfaction

V10 is absolutely no regrets for me and has more potential than a V8 S/C through chipping or S/C.

Different character and have really fell in love with how smooth the V10 is compared to the V8

We all know deep down(THINK HONEST) that ultimately we all want one..

Its just a matter of when!
