I just registered here because I'm planning to order an R8 in Fall for delivery next spring. It's going to be a long wait but at least I will get a chance to read all about the car and learn before I get it.

I read that the model will be replaced/redesigned in 2014? Is that the right date?

I suggest you do a Search, as there are a couple of relatively recent threads on R8Talk with detailed speculation (including by those reputed to have inside knowledge) about a possible R8 replacement.
