Black Spyder in Vero Beach Florida

Am on vacation this month in Florida and last night saw a black Spyder with roof down cruising Ocean drive in Vero beach with florida plates, i was tempted to wave but thought he would not be impressed being waved to from a driver of a Kia rental mini van!! wondered if the owner was a member of R8 Talk?

Wasn't me. I'm on the west coast and haven't been to Vero in ages and never with my black Spyder. BTW, did you know that (my hero) Chris Harris goes by "HarrisMonkey" on Twitter? He was in Florida this past week testing some new Porsche suspension with the boys from Auto Quest at Sebring. I would have killed to have met him! Maybe next time...
When will you be on the west coast of FL? I recall you mentioning coming over here but to Naples, was it?

I am in Vero beach till Sat 16th, then over to Charlotte bay for 4 days then Naples for 2, back to Charlotte for 2 and then off to Mickey mouse land for a week! fancy a beer while i am in Naples? Not sure who Chris Harris is ( sorry )

I'll make it a point to drive down and meet you in Naples so give me a head's up a day or two beforehand and we'll set something up. R8 owners are few and far between and I've bored friends and family to tears with my enthusiasm for my car so at least I know we'll have stuff to talk about.

Chris Harris is an automotive journalist who does reports for EVO Magazine and others and who called out Ferrari about their underhanded and controlling way they prepare cars for testing by the press so as to assure unrealistic performance numbers. He loves the R8 Spyder but I can't seem to find the video! It's a 3-parter but all I find are parts 1 & 2 and not 3 where he throws the Spyder around and extols its virtues over the Porsche Turbo Cab. Goggle him or search on YouTube and you'll find all sorts of his work.
