AC Dead

Just a heads up to folks, I found out the hard way (having to roll up the windows to take a call while someone else was in the car and it was hot outside) that my AC was through blowing cold air.

Buddy sent me a bulletin re: the AC system and I took the car to a dealer. Dealer said the bulletin was only for 07-08 models but checked it all anyways. In the end turned out I was low on refrigerant. I was told they filled and tinted (really?) it so that if there's a leak they can detect where it is.

Just something to keep an eye on.

The whole AC unit on mine (08) was replaced under warranty as it could not generate very cold air.

Common practice, they put dye in the refrigerant so a slow leak can be traced to its source.

I see. Well, glad I never had to discover that before. My fiance picked it up today whens he went to drop off the S5 I'll see how crisp my air is tomorrow
