Spyder Hot Gear Shift Knob

My R8 Spyder metal gear shift knob gets extremely hot when in the sun. Has anyone found a leather gear shift knob to put on the car instead of the metal one.

Temporary , until I find a shift handle I really like. LOL too much dust...one of those 1/4 day interior details coming up. not fun.

Or warm and fuzzy ?? Hairy, warm, and FUZZY ! (a spyder) The shifter stalk assembly is one of the most complex I've seen, but VERY solid.

Why would you need to touch the "gear stick" on a rt?

Am i missing something?

For what it is worth i have exactly the opposite problem, here in Scotland, some mornings i am afraid some of my skin is going to get ripped off on the frozen stick

I sometimes pretend to have a standard trans when cruising around. And you HAVE to use REVERSE occasionally !! UNLESS there is another paddle for reverse, that I don't know about!
