    Hood/trunk scratching

    Guys,
I was wondering if you guys have noticed and not sure if it's that important.

When I open my trunk, the drivers side edge scratches against the black plastic wheel cover. Has anyone else noticed this? It might not be that big of a deal, but it's bothering me lol.

    Re: Hood/trunk scratching

I posted a thread on this eons ago. If I remember correctly, the dealer checked with Audi AG and it is what it is. Maybe they changed this in later years.

I see the rubbing against my CF and it bothers me.

I inspected and see a very slight rubbing of drivers side, rearmost, lower corner of front hood...it just barely left a few rub marks on the black plastic well. Raising of this corner a couple of thousandths would cure the issue. What C.F is Mngolfer talking about ?

    Harry,
In the engine compartment, on the passenger side, at the lift piston, there is a rubbing mark on the CF. Every R8 I have seen has the mark when the engine compartment lid is lifted.

Haven't seen this on MY 2010 at that location. I have noticed that slight rubbing at the hood location though....
