Most wanted options to improve depreciation

Thinking about ordering a 2012 v8 and wanted your guys opinions on which options you find necessary to improve depreciation. I personally do not want any options expect the carbon fiber side blade. However, I think a purely base model r8 will depreciate much faster then an r8 with some of the most wanted options. Curious as to what you guys would find as some of the most wanted options. I'm assuming, convenience package (parking camera), Navigation, and the upgrade sound system.

Enhanced Leather is a must, in my opinion, as well as the Convenience package, Navigation, and Bang & Olufsen. Personally, I believe the CF Engine is just as important, while the interior is not. Others will chime in, I'm sure.

The packages and even what you can order are different in various major markets so it is really necessary to put your location in your profile (see the FAQ for instructions).

In a few years down the road you could *probably* retrofit the engine CF for much less than buying that option new...

I'd add that any retrofitting has minimal impact on depreciation values. Unless the car came with it, its value is marginal. Most exhausts, and even some superchargers, have little value when it comes to resale (not always, but usually). In short, most modifications to a factory car do nothing for your resale value.

IMO Navigation is a must these days, and I think I rather have Carbon Engine and full Enhanced leather before any of the other options. But i love all the options! Gotta have them all!

Not possible. It is cheaper to option through factory. All OEM parts will cost more if you purchase them afterwards.

Look at the cars on the market at the moment.

There is around £1,000 - £8,000 between stock and big spec cars but those cars with huge spec lists they would have cost maybe 20k+ more with those options so your going to loose more money if anything.

All cars loose money just the way it is.

Those parts would most definitely cost a ton if you buy them afterwards, new. However, if you buy them off ebay, from cars that were taken apart, much less so.
