This is a new gear box put in my v8. As per audi this is an updated gear box.
Both audi and lambo logo on it.

yes this is a well known feature on the gearbox of all R8s.

came up a lot back when people were predicting stupidly low clutch life on the r-tronic - like the early lambo e-gear cars.

Ummm, i am changing my clutch with only 30000kms on the clock due to slippage. Never tracked the car. Isnt that low? I think there is some truth in the fact the clutch wears out fast.
