R8 driveway or storage help

Hello everyone,

I am pulling my hair out over this problem and would love to hear your input/help...

I live on a ranch in TX and have about 3 miles of gravel county roads to drive down, as well as a mile of un-paved, un-even driveway before I reach my garage. I currently have several SUV and an RS6 that can make the drive without any issues, but am looking to buy a V10 R8....

I doubt the R8 will have enough clearance to make the driveway so I had to terminate the deal... (heartbreak) I live about 30 min from the closest storage unit and don't exactly trust the *uh hum* 'locals' running the center.

Any ideas for how to fix this problem without having to pave 4 miles of roadway???

Are there other sports cars with higher ground clearance in the similar price range? (<200k)

Maserati GranTurismo has a higher clearance. Not an R8 by any means but still a great car.

Or maybe a suspension lift?

A custom installer I use mentioned to me that there is a aftermarket suspension lifter available for the R8. I inquired because I have a steep driveway. My old M5 never had issues, but the R8 is a different animal.

Get one of these for the ranch. Then you can keep your driveway nice and smooooooooth!

buy a trailer for one of your suvs and ferry the r8 back & forth to the road

If your RS6 makes it down the road, you'll not have any problems with the R8.

I have both and they'll go pretty much the same places.

You may try the hydraulic lifting system of KW. Lifts the R8 up to 45 mm
